What I am about to say in no way supports the personal comments you made about those mentioned in your post but I have to agree, what happens within a family should be dealt with within a family. If MZYork did those crimes against the children of their nation then nuwaubians should have dealt with him accordingly. And if nuwaubians aint deal wit it then the children have no one to blame save the very nuwaubian adults that looked the other way.

The reason why I am saying this is I have a view about child support and the courts enforcing the order. Black women seem to run to "the man" when ever they got some shizzle against a brother instead of dealing wit it mano a womano! Please to all the sistah mamas out there, do not get me wrong. I am not saying black men should sidestep their responsibilities. But we all know the history of the black unit here in america. And we all know how "white america" (not all whites but the elites who wield the power) has made it their business to destroy the image of the black man. Yet sistahs will drop dime on a brosham even if he paying! just to sic the arm of the law (which happens to be white) on him. Thats a goddamn shame ! cause it further perpetuates the destruction of the black home.

'specially not with all the wonderful things going on in my life.. let me tell you a little something.. more often than not- non custodial parents do NOT pay child support.. at least not until they are forced to.. according to the census bureau only 45 % of custodial parents due child support rec'd the full amount (as of 2001).. so what about the other 55% of us.. we dont get a damn dime.. personally with my daughter's father- i have tried and tried and TRIED my bootie off to work with him.. even to the point of saying- "even if you just have $20- offer it for pampers, wipes, or something, so that at least i know that you are trying" And would you believe that he couldn't even provide that. Finally I got tired of being understanding AND tired of having to struggle to support my daughter on my own when i didnt MAKE her by myself.. We as custodial parents have no choice but to provide (if we are any kind of parents) because otherwise our children would suffer. Those non-custodial parents (that are dead beats) figure we custodial parents will be responsible so they dont have to.. So back to the heart of the matter- if that 55% of the population weren't deadbeats then there wouldnt be so many people being taken to court for child support.. so let's not blame it on white people or "the man".. if the deadbeat was paying child support and keeping receipts he could march right up to "the man" and show proof and be done with it.. lets not pass the blame to someone else.

duly noted chephren Sorry but that is the second time he struck a nerve with me on that subject.. I was more than happy to handle it (child support situation) woman to sperm donor, however he was not man enough to do that.. so what other choice did i have but to take him to court?? what's the alternative?? Support her alone?? did i conceive her alone?? no i did not. FYI i even offered to have him give up his rights to my daughter in exchange for not paying child support.. he refused and claimed his daughter meant the world to him, YET no phone calls, no attempts to visit, and not a damn dollar in support.. that's ok though- there is somethign called an abandonment clause- where after he has gone so long with not contacting her and not sending money he can be FORCED to give up his rights.. i will get off my soapbox now That is just a subject i feel very strongly about.

Courtney that sound nice but what about the brothers who do pay child support and still get taken to court, like myself. Why isn't a father granted rights when the baby is born, why do I have to go to court to obtain rights for my child? Why if i am married to a woman and she has an affair the husband has to pay child support for that child? Why am I not granted as a custodial parent in the beginning why do i have to take her to court to obtain this right? and according to the law child support and visitation and custody or two separate issues. Why? teh courts do not look at receipts unless u have an order already to prove you are paying something. Otherwise they don't give a shit how much u paid out. How can a woman lie and say the man is a no good father and the judge will believe her outright with no question. I have seen it happen to friends of mine. Should i have to pay for my child if I don;t get to see my child? Like i said why is it an seperate issue?

well theman i agree with you that there are men out there that do pay a reasonable amount of child support and still get taken to court.. and that is without question.. im not saying women are better and all men are bad. i was simply addressing the issue that kah brought up- things should be taken care of between the mother and father (or in my case sperm donor)- and my response was that that isnt always possible.. for people like me (and my fiancee who has custody of his daughter and doesnt get any child support from the other parent) the problem is the other party would rather not do their part and hope that you will get tired and give up.. in that case it is IMPOSSIBLE to work it out without getting the court involved. i have seen things from the male and female perspective (mainly because my fiancee is in the same position as me).. the court systems is screwed on different ends of the spectrum- that i totally agree.. but we can't say "the court system should never be involved.. every situation can be worked out amoungst the parents" because that just isnt true.. for the record- anytime that my daughter's father has called to get visitation (which i can count on two fingers how many times that has happened in the last 4 years) i am more than happy to let him see her.. i would LOVE for him to be an active parent and participate in her life.. and also let HIS family be a part of it two.. but he's a deadbeat and doesnt take the opportunity. .also it angers me when women use the child to get back at the father- that's just plain wrong and evil if you ask me. oh and it's childish.

teh courts do not look at receipts unless u have an order already to prove you are paying something. Otherwise they don't give a shit how much u paid out.

i can't speak on your situation, however an ex of mine was paying before an order was made for support.. when it came time to go to court they took his receipts and gave him credit for what he had already paid.

should you have to pay?? it all depends on the situation, if one is not paying just because one doesnt feel like it then- no one shouldnt be able to have visitation.. but if the child is being "withheld" from a parent maliciously then maybe one shouldn't have to pay.. that's a hard question to answer because- again i have witnessed both points of view.. i think if parent A was a proven danger to the child and that is the honest reason why parent B wont let the child go with parent A, then that should not admonish parent A from paying for support.. that's a deep question really.. I do agree that support and visitation should not be separate issues.. if a parent is neglecting their monitary duties to the child that should be considered when considering visitation as well.. as well as the reverse- if a parent is refusing to allow the other parent to see the child- how can they expect to receive support.. man o man.. complicated issue..

tough question too.. in my defence i had no idea that my daughter's father was a deadbeat dad.. it wasnt until after she was born that i found out.. but i agree that part of the blame is on me for not being more aware.. i would say the blame in my case would be 90/10 (him/me)..

Give glory to those who stood on street corners selling these books--it wasn't York--when did you see York stand in 40 degree weather trying to reach a lost soul? Those coming to his classes weren't "lost" they were "found" by the peddlers who barely got a meal when they came in for the day!
You cannot even give praise to York for the information because you can find it all in books written years before his written by "Ahmed Deedat, Graham Hancock, Ralph Epperson" and many many more. You cannot give praise to York for penning the books because it was the women who worked from sunrise to after midnight researching and typing! There were times when he admitted to not even reading the books himself!
