and i think u have it all mixed up-u dont need low self esteem to have kids by a man who already has a bunch- if u are into a doctrine that teaches polygamy. with the muslin and both bible- they had polygamy and many kids. i dont know what era of time u started reading- but if your are from the ansaar days- u would know. me personally ive seen first hand - how baised and doubles standards and dogs the woman polygamy is- so i am not into it- but then this forum ISNT about me.

Truthfully i wasn't going anywhere with the post. I said I read about a school he claim to have built. Being I have never been to Tamare, I don't know if it is true, and for those who knew it wasn't true no one spoke out. he spoke about many things and I was in no position to say whether he was lying or not. It didn;t make me a difference as far as my personally life was concerned but when getting into debates with other sects these are points we followers (who knew no better) would bring up.
People that say what they would have done actually did it, they didn't move in. I started studying in 1989. I was invited to move in by York in 1992, I declined. that's why I say I would not have went for it, because when i was invited to come join I decided not to because I was not doing any fucking guard duty or sell no fucking books. and I'll be damned if my wife and children are not living with me. Since i knew that is how he ran the place I opted not to be a part of it. U may say I was not loyal to York and you are right I am loyal to myself. None of the knowledge that I obtain was given to me, I purchased all of it in the name of books and tapes. that was my contribution.

If you want to say I was one of the people who just wanted the knowledge, that is fine. If he really felt that way he could have just stop selling the books to the public. There were books he would only sell to people who were a part of OM or AMOM. though i never was I got around it by having someone who was purchase the book for me. but then how else would he support the organization? Though he spoke bad about us in the dunya, we are the ones who supported him. Without us there would not have been a Ansaar, UNNM, HTM, Nubian Islaam Hebrews and whatever else name or school he went through.

I don't have a problem with polygamy if that is what people choose but was he marriewd to any of these women? No. he just claimed them as his own. (Ancient Egyptian Practice). And was he the only man available? I mean my gosh the man has over 200 kids. I would be hard press to sit and name 200 people I know let alone my kids.
According to those involved with him, it was the best situation because then you would not be moved around from community to community.

U mention the poor living conditions. How long do you live in it before saying enough is enough? I keep hearing we didn't know any better. I was raisied in the ghettos of NY, should I use that as an excuse as to why I am not progressing in life? Did anyone ever want to have the house he had? read My potential, he talks about in there. I am not trying to personally attack you, but it just seem like signs of low self-esteem. All these things you are mentioning it just makes me wonder why would someone put themselves through something like this. I can see a year or two but over 10 years is a bit much.

I constantly hear excuses about what happen and blame placed on York. I know he didn't do it by himself. no way in hell.

Truthfully I am not trying to understand overstand or innerstand. I know what is like to live in fuck up conditions. I did it growing up. I alos do know what it is like to do something about my conditions and change them. we always have some excuse as to why we are the way we are. take control of your own destiny. Stop waiting on York, Jesus, or anyone else to come help you out.

NOW--let's truly give credit where credit is due. York didn't do it. York didn't build the pyramids--he didn't even finance it! MEMBERS DID WITH THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY VIA PEDDLING OR WORKING OR BEGGING.
Praise should be given to those who put their blood, sweat and tears to make it happen. The "victims" as they have been called all played a huge role in making the Nuwaubian Nation. The artwork in the scrolls, the artwork on the covers of the scrolls---a "victim" did that! All the buildings on the land were put up by brothers who lived there, or traveled many miles to get there every day working from sun up to sun down. Brothers who came there weren't even offered a sandwich or a glass of water!
People came from hundreds of miles away to bring thousands of dollars to purchase books--and many times get there and told "oh yeah, those books didn't come in but you can get these old ones" or wait hours upon hours sitting in a room waiting for York to come out to teach only to get told "there is no class today, go home"--with home being as far away as Canada! Busting their asses just to get a glimpse of the man and later find out he got his rocks of from the disappointment!
Give glory to those who stood on street corners selling these books--it wasn't York--when did you see York stand in 40 degree weather trying to reach a lost soul? Those coming to his classes weren't "lost" they were "found" by the peddlers who barely got a meal when they came in for the day!
You cannot even give praise to York for the information because you can find it all in books written years before his written by "Ahmed Deedat, Graham Hancock, Ralph Epperson" and many many more. You cannot give praise to York for penning the books because it was the women who worked from sunrise to after midnight researching and typing! There were times when he admitted to not even reading the books himself!

True indeed Satiyah! I remember attending Arabic classes at the Masjid in Brooklyn (late 80's) and they were being held during the winter time and there was zero heat! Yet this honorable young man (late teens) would stand there for hours and teach classical Arabic! You literally sat there freezing yet you took it from the disposition of sacrifice and I did learn classical Fusha Arabic! Yet the class WAS NOT taught by York but some young man from Yemen the true teacher who gets no honor today and is not within a million miles of York's community! WoW!! All that sacrifice, then you have the Johnny come latlelys who know nothing of the past. That is the problem with some of our young people. They don't research shit!! They take a person's word for face value. It not only happens with the Nuwaubians, it happens in the Masons also.

That's what I've been trying to say for a while now! Johnny Come Lately's! I love that! I look at some of the photos Master9 puts up, and some of the ones on other boards and shake my head saying "they ain't nuwaubians". They know nothing of the real sacrafices put forth! They got it made now, hundreds of books. Try selling only the Revelation series in the mid of winter in a freezing downtown! Try doing it without bookstores! Brothers were know for oils and then books I know brothers who sold oils for the money, and GAVE the books away!
