Just yesterday I had some christians befuddled when talking about egypt in the bilble. I actually made them go back and reread their bible and a couple of people who didn't read the bible, they wanted to research what I was talking about.

Satiyah you mentioned we could have learned certain things just reading other people books. U are correct the problem with that is because you write a book does not mean it is geared towards a certain person or people.

York teaching were geared towars us. Whenever I show a videotape of York to any of my friends (who I must mention have a no real interest in York's teaching, they were impressed by his methods).

I have read many books in the IT industry and some are good others suck.

As far as religious topics, York was on top of his game.

Brother I read plenty of books, thousands. Just not on the subjects that York teaches on. Most authors are not that interesting to me. Their writing style is boring and puts me to sleep. Religion was never a big interest of ine growing up until coming across York's books. the style he wrote in and the angle he presented was very different from your average teacher. He taught the importance of research and showed the mistakes of others that did not.

I do not belive his books are coming back to haunt him, I believe certain topic he spoke about he stretched the truth in some. As far as the Holy Books are concerned, he had them mastered from front to back.

I said he is the greatest teacher because he peek the interest of his students, such as my self. Though I never sat at his feet, i was able to learn many things from afar. I also learned about other authors through his writings, authors I would have never gave a second glance to.

many of these authors aren;t teachers, they are just writers. because you can write does not mean you an pass the knowledge on to others to learn, York could and he did.

If you feel different tell me some other authors who you would consider great teachers.
