Bro. Ralph, the only reason I commented on this, is because it was I who originally ordered those little red fezzes from Morocco. The cost was high, but when you do buy in large volume, it is much less per item, and of course you do have to pay brokerege fees, and duty taxes, etc. The cost was recouped in the price of the fez, and since he made it a "MUST HAVE ITEM", the money was always made back and much more. I also have ordered from D. Turin, and they do make their own, and will custom make to your specifications. The great cost comes in when you want to make a new color, then, the up charge is much much more. I paid $225 for mine in 1993(triple jeweled), I can imagine how much people were shelling out along with York's taxing them.............. |

Sister Balkis, I stand corrected:)! No problem my good brother. What people must understand is that york went to great lenghts to potray an image. He is all theatrical. He is a show man, he loves the stage, he loves control, he will go way out just to prove a point. He would invest in hrs. and hrs. of work, that is working people around the clock, to produce a fat book like the rebbuttal to the Bilal Phillips book, so he looks bigger and badder, when in fact, most of what you read are just lies to refute what was published by Phillips. And to make it worse with that book in particular, he had the nerve to give it away free, which means the thousands of dollars that it cost to print it, was just money spent on spewing lies. Business wise it did not make any sense. But I guess he had to do it, or just stand there and do nothing, and his organization would have disbanded much sooner than now. Let me put on my shield for the attack that is sure to follow!  |

The costly ones were the one made here. Especially once he started getting fancier with the design and the different jewels that went on it. Honestly though, we could not put the price too high, not even tripple of what it cost us, it would have been too much for the people, so not much profit was made from the order of the tarboosh, hence why there were always back orders on that, because not enough $ was made on it, and poor business practices of the people who did not want to pay out, but took money in, and did not make sure we had money all the time to fill peoples orders. The big money was made on books and paraphenalia, oils and incense, especially! |

I see a possible copyright infringement also. Look at the scimitar on the caucasian shriners fez, then look at the Prince Hall fez below. York has the same scimitar design as Prince Hall. Some origination coming from the international shrine...

its funny how hathor is digesting these truths- so her temper tanruams is just how she is dealing with it, she is OBVIOUSLY jealous it wasnt her by maku side but it was balkiys. doc first peeped those little red fezzez in the morocan shops in disney world and went to great lengths to get the manufactors so he could cop the style. often times he saw something he liked he found the manufactors and bought it and sold it. they are many oppotunities for copywright infringment and the REAL masonic lodges threatned to sue him 2 times for using there symbols in the original aeo application, that is why is was changed, even thought that is not the first time or orginization the threaten to sue. but yall cut hathor some slack- she is slowly but surely comming around to the truth- that is why she is still on here with 'us jinns'  she knows we hold the truth to set her free- she is just taking a minute to digest it all. kind of the same way many of us were at one point or another when we find out what we belived in all 'these years' was a lie. |
