The reason for damascus was NOT to get prisoners. But to receive the necessary paperwork for the prisoners he had in custody in order to bring them to jerusalem to serve time in prison!!
Damascus was the place where the interrogation of prisoners was done to verify who was a legit prisoner and who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, wrongfully taken into custody.
The prison ward in jerusalem required the chartered papers and paperwork on the prisoners from paul to make sure Paul was an authorized detainer and these prisoners/xtians were legitimate ones!!
You guys, that is what BONNET said. She has effectively tossed this argument out. Stop rehashing, and move on! Apparently, Bel read the Scriptures correctly in this instance, and he is asking why the others with Paul were not blinded. I think that from my reading that the Message was from The Lord, Jesus. (NOT GOD!) From the Lord. And, coincidentally the Lord was talking to Paul, and Paul ALONE. What God hath for me, he hath for me.
What is the other questions, bel?

BornAgain9 u may want to re-read the thread thoroughly. Bonnett claimed the prisoners were the ones who assisted paul at getting to damascus after he was blinded. That is totally unfounded. Second, the light of Christ is NOT SUPPOSE TO HAVE THE ADVERSE BLINDING AFFECT ON YOU. The reason for damascus was NOT to get prisoners. wrong, wrong, wrong again. bel, get your stuff together. before you try to clown Born, remember to follow your own advice. You have simply REPEATED everyting that i say. See, bel, you got it wrong the first time. And you got it wrong once and again. I NEVER said that anyone assisted SaulnowPaul. I simply put out that he may have had some prisoners ALREADY. I did leave out that he may have been escorted by some sort of guards. And since you have ZERO knowledge of the HOLY SCRIPTURE, you are NOT in the position to judge what is unfounded; remember you put up lots of crap that is totally unfounded. And you are petty and pathetic. You keep on going back and forth over the same ground, never making the mile. If you knew how to read, then the very books of ACTS that we were discussing would have explained to you exactly what happened. And if you had the prescience of mind, and the gift of spiritual discernment, and the grace OF THE MOST HIGH you would be able to answer your own questions, and you would not have to keep on asking and trying to debate a single sentence. Evidently to the un-stupid amongst us, PaulthenSaul was on his way to Damascus. He had some folk with him. The Lord, Jesus came to him in some sort of vision, and that vision was attended by a blinding light---- the effects of which blinded PaulthenSaul alone. And also, as PaulthenSaul said, only he heard the voice of Christ, beseeching him of why he was persecuting him (the Way). No one else could hear that message.
And as for it being unfounded, then maybe you should sit back down on the holy toilet, and read your bible again. go back to the Acts, read them with out inserting extra, bel-founded opinions, and get the manna out of the scripture. Firstly, ask the MOST HIGH to grant you wisdom and discernment, and the very simple language of the english bible will become evident to you. For example, the word "me" will mean you. Or maybe, "those that were with me" will mean: the people who attended or came along with me". See, it ain't so deep. It is an accounting made by PaulthenSaul. If what i wrote was totally unfounded, then you wouldn't have been able to find that scripture in the bible in the first place, right? You wouldn't have found Acts. Get your stuff on point, and don't add to the scripture or be accursed. and also, what do you hope to gain by dissecting an open wound? to see if it hurt sommore? if you are continually opening up the same verse over and over again, then you are not able--- hear me----- not able to comprehend the verse, nor the Scripture itself. Just cause you can't get it right, baby, the Scripture still stands. It don't change. And you keep on adding to it. stop it, because you are not dealing with idiots. you are failing at your attempt to debate the sccripture, sweetsorghum.

Born, you got it right. And for belly's info, you read the thread, emailed me and someone else, and we discussed it at length. it was dissected.
one question we have: what is it that bel will get out of asking the same dangdarn question over again?
and 1dell, you didn't wait on me for two days for what lil you got. I had a personal crises that supercedes this forum, so you will have to forgive me for not dropping what i had to do to help someone else out. what can i say? if your wife needed some hospital care, i am hoping that you would run her there instead of coming to the forum.
