I think most people (and i am guilty of this too) only pray in times of trouble or hardship.. we need to take time in busy schedules when things are "all good" to thank God for our many blessings.. our kids, the roof over our heads, our significant others, the food in our bellies. I PROMISE you, there is SOMEONE, somewhere in the world that has it much worse than we think we have it. 1dell mentioned in another post how people have a tendancy to blame the devil on hardships.. i think that is taking a negative view of life... I agree with 1dell that people should be looking at it in such a way that perhaps it is God taking things away that are harmful, negative, or just simply not meant for us. It is hard not to get down-hearted when things we perceive as "bad" happen to us.. but i truly believe that saying - when God closes a door he opens a window.. and when things that we want we dont get- perhaps means there is something better in store for us.

You are so right courty, many people here boast about knowing this or that about god but don't even pray to him nor do they take time out each morning and evening to worship him. I mean REALLY worship him. face to the ground typa ish. Thats why I take my hats off to muslims. They make sure they stick to their relationship with Allah.

Exactly 1dell. I can't place myself above anyone else when it comes to that sort of thing. I am striving to improve and every time i can i thank God for it ALL. We all need to realize that without Him none of it is possible You are so right courty, many people here boast about knowing this or that about god but don't even pray to him nor do they take time out each morning and evening to worship him. Good to see U back homegurl. Most Christians I know dont pray much by their own confession. I mean the "casuals" not the religious folks. My prayer life could be better especially now. It takes serious discipline. Thats why I never make an official time to pray cause at work I be so bizzy sumtimez I almost dont take my lunch. Another tip we all know...dont pray when U tired. U gonna dose off.

lol anav i did the same thing the other night. i need to get on my knees next to the bed to keep from falling asleep, im just too comfortable in my bed. I have a 20 minute ride in the country to and from work every day, i am trying to use that time to pray and meditate- it's so quiet and peaceful- and i KNOW i wont fall asleep Gamaliel- thanks for the warm welcome back. I just dont have much access to computers these days, but i try to slip in from time to time to see what's crack-a-lackin
