Hey, it’s your forum, so when I post here I’ll respect your wishes, however…I do “gotta be me”. I personally cannot stand when someone says “curse words” in reference to profanity. Profanity is a much better description. To “curse” someone is a far greater evil than to use a few “naughty” expressions. I have an associate, who is on this holier than thou kick. She really urks me, let me tell a story why, lol. I have my own business. Well, actually 2. Anyhow, in reference to my “Eshe Naturals” business—she is a customer. She’s been buying my stuff on a regular basis for over a year now. She took some to work and came back with a few orders. She then approached me with “Hey, we can be partners!” When I told her the cost of becoming partner, she wasn’t too pleased. She would have to give me $1,500.00. , then in turn she would begin to make 40% of net sales. Well, she was all for the 40% thing, but couldn’t get down with the $1,500.00. I’ve invested several thousand into my business, I’ll be darn if someone comes in and I just start giving them 40% of it without them sacrificing something up front!!!!! So, anyhow—she kept coming at me with this “my pastor whispered in my heart and told me I’d be joining in a prosperous business very soon, I just know he’s speaking about you” lol—so he’s a prophet? Wha’eva—I again told her, she cannot have 40% and without first buying into my business! Soooo, I told her she can purchase wholesale. She then tells me “well, I’m not trying to be a hustler, I see myself as a business woman”. LOL Well…in the meantime---she was over here and my kids were watching a movie—and in the movie they said “naughty words”, well—she get’s all freaked out and stuff! I’m waiting for her to grab a bottle of olive oil and start tossing it on my kids! (anointing) Anyhow, after she calmed down, I explained my views as being parent of my kids—that I allow them to see it, and discuss with them why they should not use it. They should come up with better vernacular instead. I have a niece who from the time she could watch tv watched all kids of stuff—murder mystery, drama, violence, profanity, nudity (not porn) etc. She’s now 17 and very normal—not pregnant, straight A student with college coursework. I have a cousin on the other hand, pregnant at 14. Her mother NEVER let her see R rated movies, NEVER let her hang out with friends (skating, bowling etc.) Freaked out about profanity on tv. Now look. Didn’t make a difference. Parenting takes skill—sheltering your kids isn’t parenting. So, back to the woman who is trying to make money off of my hard work. She has these little kids who go “awwwww, they said a bad word”, and my kids looked at them like “and?”. Her kids kept tapping on her and saying “mommy, mommy, they said a bad word on tv” and my kids were rolling their eyes like “get over it”. . So, she resorted to saying a quick prayer and sat there the next few minutes with her hands over her kids ears! LOL So—my point. She’s on this holier than thou kick. I have candles called “Sex on the Beach”, “Lick Me All Over” and “Butt Naked”—I didn’t name them, the oil company did. She loves the scent, but asked me to change the name! Geesh. She better grow up real fast. She’s wanting to slick her way into my business—wanting 40% off the rip—but doesn’t want to come off anything. Yet, she plays this righteous role? Oh please—I’m only ‘some dumb” not all the way dumb. I knew a church treasurer who ripped the church off for over 100thousand dollars—and blaimed the devil! People cannot fool me with that in the name of Jesus façade. For far too many, it’s a front. ******My views and opinions expressed in this post, are no way meant to disrespect Courtney, or any other person opposed to profane language!  Actually, I really needed to vent about this "person" who I spoke of in the post! She really ticked me off yesterday when she showed up at my house insisting on becoming my partner and wanting to come up with something in writing! I'm like, dang why don't you just show up on Friday's and I'll just hand you a few hundred dollars? Hey---I made a post without using "naughty words" *patting myself on the back  |

not sure if i cussed but if i did courtney love, I apologize. I will check to see if any of my posts contain cuss words (will erase the cuss words if found).

You didnt that i recall Kah, and I appreciate that.. to satiyah I did not think your post was disrespectful.. perhaps i should've said "profanity" instead, but I think we all know what i was gettin at not sure if i cussed but if i did courtney love, I apologize. I have one more thing to say on this issue.. i am not asking this to try to keep people from being themselves or to overly sensor people's opinions.. however this is a CHRISTIAN forum and I am trying to have and asking other's to respect that. that's all. and besides... we are all intelligent people here.. we all kind find other suitable ways to express ourself without offending others. |
