I am almost ashamed to do tell you, but his majesty Judge Royal has yet
again postponed the sentencing of Dwight York on his convction in federal
court.
The new courtdate is:
May 18, 2004 and I presume it will be 9:00 AM
We know that York's lawyer, Adrian Patrick, has filed a motion requesting
that he be relieved of representing York further because of "problems with
the client". Patrick has requested a hearing on this motion (the one to be
relieved) and that is set for May 14th. It is my personal opinion that
these constant continuances are nothing more than delays by Patrick so the
Nuwaubs can raise the $300K Patrick wants in order to continue to represent York and
take the state case to trial. Perhaps those of you in the media might want
to look into this. Patrick will claim that he has a case in state court
next week and that is why he can't be in federal court. I bet if one would
go to the courthouse wherever he claims he will be next week, one wouldn't
find Mr. Patrick there trying a case.
