Sentencing date for York

MACON, GA(AP) -- The leader of a quasi-religious sect convictedof molesting children at the group's compound has been scheduled for sentencing.

A federal judge has set March 26 for Malachi York, head of the United Nuwaubian Nation of Moors, to be sentenced. He was convicted Jan. 23 on multiple counts of child molestation and racketeering in Brunswick, where the trial was moved because of media attention.

York's lawyer, Adrian Patrick, said he would fight for the shortest sentence possible. He said he also is working on an appeal, which won't be able to be argued until after sentencing.

Prosecutors have said York, 58, will likely get between 20 and 30 years in prison.

York was found guilty in federal court on 10 counts of child molestation and racketeering. He was acquitted of charges he abused children during a trip to Walt Disney World in Florida.

York still faces 77 state charges of child molestation, to which he pleaded guilty as part of a plea agreement a year ago. Patrick has said his client plans to withdraw those pleas.

During the appealate is when they plan to use these "pledges" they've solicited. Aparantly, they are trying it from all routes--collecting donations for legal defense, and pledges for his release.

A message from the chief editor Nicole Boddie, C.E.O. of Georgia Gossip

There has been many mis-conception regarding pledges. Let me take you to the beginning of the revelation of how the pledges came into existence.

Before the trial in Brunswick Ga, I talked to Maku: “Chief” Black Thunderbird “Eagle” Thursday January 1, 2004. Several hours after we conducted the first interview “Inside the Belly of the Beast, Part 1: UNDER DURESS”. He asked me was Rick [of Tamare] going to give me a final copy of the interview in which Georgia Gossip had. (I did not inform Chief Black Thunderbird Eagle that Rick told me to erase the original that I had, after they made a duplicate copy). I told him Rick said that he was going to give me a final copy once edited etc. Also I told him that I trust that Rick will give me a copy. Chief Black Thunderbird Eagle told me he would be transferred to Brunswick Friday. That was the last I heard from him at that time.

Jan 3rd Saturday, At the Shriner’s Ball I called Rick and informed him I was not attending the ball, however I would send someone to retrieve the final copy. He said okay, he would have it with him at the ball. A few hours later I received a call from one of the staff members from Georgia Gossip who I had instructed to retrieve the CD from Rick. He told me Rick said that he couldn’t give the CD to me because Adrian Patrick had not heard it. I asked to speak with Rick and Rick said over the cell phone that he would give me a copy of the CD the next day after Mr. Patrick heard it. I said okay, no problem.

Jan 5th the trial in Brunswick began, still no copy from Rick. Many people informed me that they had Chief Black Thunderbird “Eagle” in the basement of the courthouse throughout the trial. My heart fell to pieces. All I could think about is this man is being lynched and tortured and all I saw was death. All kinds of thoughts ran through my head. I was no longer concern about the interview we had conducted. My main concern was making a lot of noise to the public and to inform them that there is a Black Man being lynched in Brunswick, Georgia. I got on my knees and I ask the Spirit for strength and guidance to get something done. I heard a voice say unto me to stop crying and get on the phone and call every one I know and ask them for their help in “pledges”. So I did just that. I did not know what pledges were at that time but I did just what my God instructed me to do. I told all the staff members at Georgia Gossip to make a list of every one they knew to call them as well and informed them about what has taken place and ask them for pledges and they did. Shortly after I was confused about the pledges so I asked the staff what is a pledge, but they gave all kinds of examples but it just did not sound right to my soul. I asked for someone to look it up in the dictionary. Pledge; a bailment of chattel. Bail… the act of releasing a prisoner out of prison…when I saw that I cried. So we continued on knowing the pledges had some type of power for getting Chief Black Thunderbird “Eagle” released from captivity.

Yes, I thought that the people who made pledges at that time, it wasn’t imperative to send in their pledges in the form of money. Later on I went to Brunswick while staff members stayed in Macon to get pledges from the white pages and surrounding communities. I came forward from Brunswick to Macon. During that time there was an empty space still in my heart. I received a call from Rev. Lynde in Brunswick and he invited me and all the Tribal members back to Brunswick, he opened up his heart to all who needed a place to lay their heads and get to the trial on time. He gave us his Church St. John Missionary Baptist Church for this use. During that time I played the interview for the tribal members who were there. Soon and very soon, I knew the Most High had a better plan. Every one was asking for their very own copy of the Cd, so I took their information and proceeded to leave Brunswick forward to Macon to fulfill the obligation I had to the people. Inside the Belly of the Beast: “Under Duress,” was that obligation. I launched a massive campaign on the website Nuworldorder.com.

Jan 23rd the trail ended. 3 weeks and no word from Chief Black Thunderbird Eagle until the trial ended. One of the staff members of Georgia Gossip received a call from Chief Black Thunderbird “Eagle” and he asked him about the pledges and does it have any value concerning his captivity. Chief Black Thunderbird “Eagle” responded to him “yes, it does, it goes in after the appellate”. Another confirmation from the most high, the highest!!

2nd week after the trial The Chief informed me that the pledges can get him out if I had the same amount of dollars I had in pledges. So again I launched a massive campaign on Nuworldorder.com to get all the Yamassee Native Americans Moors of the Creek Nation to pledge for Chief Black Thunderbird “Eagle’s” release!! I am learning more now about the pledges, I told the staff that I think there is more to the pledges than what we had researched in Blacks Law Dictionary, Cracking the Code, and Webster’s definitionary, and we found out that the pledges goes higher than that, it’s universal law/divine law. 7 days later, I was shown by a staff member that the pledges were mentioned in the Holy Tablets and several times throughout the Tablets. Amen! My theory became truth.

This is Rick and I'm going to address this short and sweet.

1) I never told Nicole Boddie to burn any tape. Common sense would tell everyone that I would not give a tape back to her if I wanted it erased. Also, we have equiptment that can erase a tape in a second - de-magnitizer/magnet, etc.

2) Mentioning my name in a post that is intended to tell everyone how the Pledge idea came about has no relation at all. What does a tape/CD and my name have to do with any Pledges? This is subtle slander mixed with a testimony of voices speaking to Nicole.

3) The Chief gave Nicole the interview and rights to it. She maintined possesion of her interview the entire time, other than when She and I got together to combine her interview with the interviews on the land. No one stopped Georgia Gossip from doing what they wanted with the interview and many copies were sold. Some were distributed in Savannah bookstore before we returned.

4) Reading the post, reveals the fact that action was taken BEFORE thorough resaerch was done. This has been our problem for a long time. People coming up with ideas in whatever forms(in this case, a message from voices) and moving on them without the facts. She admits to not knowing about pledges to the point where she had to ask others and is STILL learning. Why not ask the voice that came to you at first? Point being that we ask that everyone with these ideas bring them to the table to be analyzed and put into the BIG picture. So many people are trying to be SOLO saviors in their attempts to Free our Chief. We ALL want him home. My life is dedicated to his FREEDOM. Failure is not an option with me. Im sure many feel the same way.

5) This idea of the Pledge has short circuited the flow of donations that we asked for from the beginning. Now the Chief is facing sentencing. Dont you all see that they are not PLAYING?!? They (the demons) do this for a living 9-5 5 days a week. They went to school to further their demonic system of justice. We are up against a BEAST for real. These fly by night visions and ideas need to be WELL THOUGHT OUT. Thats all we have been asking. But people's egos get in the way and they feel like - by coming to us, they are surrendering or asking for permission. Statements are made like "I talked to Pop myself, I dont need to go to them" etc. Its not about any Mission Impossibles. Bottom line is that we have the facts of the case and have been working with the case VERY CLOSELY, with the Attorneys CLOSELY also. We know exactly where we are in the case and we make it our job to stay on point. We live, sleep, breath this CASE, while others have other things going on. If you have an idea and/or information that can help then BRING IT ON. We have ALWAYS said we need help. There is no Silver Bullet or 1 man/women savior solution to this problem. ITS GOING TO TAKE ALL OF US. This is what Pop has been saying. So all the slander and bickering back and forth needs to stop. Who has time for that?? What is your real purpose for creating distrust in the organization?!? Why the campaign against the family on Wahanee?!? Whats the point? The result is that we dont have the finances to FIGHT.

This is the solution. What are people going to say now - "I don't trust Pop." ?!?

7) Every Saturday we give updates on the case and latest words from Pop. We speak to him all the time and we have no need to tape his conversations to prove anything. We also see Pop on a regular basis in person and we relay the latest points to everyone in these Saturday Meetings/Classes.

In conclusion, we all need to work together and not fear of an idea getting shut down and run with it before any thorough research is done. We are running out of time. Sentencing is March 26th, 2004 9:00 am before Judge Royal. They are trying to put Pop away for good. Everyone needs to WAKE UP and cut the foolishness.

Knowing how he has done things in the past, it is very likely that he york and Nicole Boddie, concocted this 'story' up to get pledges in the event he should be found guilty. As I stated, absolutely NO ONE puts out anything like that without his PRIOR knowledge AND CONCENT!
