I thought this was interesting, thanks to Apostle Qanaa for posting this info:
Mark 12:28-30
[28] And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning
together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him,
Which is the first commandment of all?
[29] And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is,
Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
[30] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment.
The Messiah himself said that the "First Commandment" is for Israel
to hear that there is ONE GOD.
Matthew 16:13-17
[13] When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked
his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
[14] And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some,
Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
[15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son
of the living God.
[17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon
Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my
Father which is in heaven.
[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this
rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it.
[19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
When the Messiah asked his disciples "who do men say that he is",
they answered him that men were not in agreement on this matter. Some
thought that he was the reincarnation of John the Baptist, and they
all seemed to know that Elijah was to be reincarnated. But the main
point is that NONE of them dare blaspheme, and say that he was the
Most High.
Now it was Simon-Peter that had, by revelation from the Father,
identified him as the "Son of the living God" (not that he was the
Living God, but his son).
This was the understanding that they had, at the time that they asked
the Messiah to show them the Father.
John 14:6
[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
[7] If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from
henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Now we hear the Messiah saying that they both know, and have seen the
Father, yet they continued to ask the Messiah to "show them the
Father".
[8] Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth
us.
[9] Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet
hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the
Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Now this is one of a few statements that men today believe is proof
that the Messiah, was the Most High, in the flesh. But they fail to
remember what the Messiah told Peter in the above scripture (Matthew
16:16-17)
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son
of the living God.
[17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon
Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my
Father which is in heaven.
This is what the Messiah was telling Philip, if you knew me (who I
am) then you would know the Father (who he is) because only the
Father, can show you who I am.
If you could see the Messiah, then you could see the spirit of the
Most High (for the Most High is a Spirit: John 4:24)
.
If you could hear the Messiah, then you have heard the spirit of the
Most High (John 8:47).
It was the Most High that gave them eyes to see, and ears to hear
what the spirit was saying through the Messiah .
We know that the Messiah was not the Most High, by this statement
also:
Matthew 3:16
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the
water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the
Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
So if the Messiah was the Most High, in the flesh, and the Most High
is a Spirit, then who was this flesh that came up out of the water,
for it was that "flesh", that Mary gave birth to, and all of the
years until that moment, the spirit of the Most High, was not
descended upon him.
Now men have made up the philosophy that the Messiah was the Most
High because the Messiah's flesh was uncorrupted through "Virgin
Birth". Now I ma not going to bother with countering this philosophy
because I am focused on the Most High.
Even the Messiah himself said the "God is a Spirit" (John 4:24) but
the Messiah is flesh.
Luke 24:36-39
[36] And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of
them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
[37] But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they
had seen a spirit.
[38] And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts
arise in your hearts?
[39] Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and
see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
So these men supposed that the Messiah might be a spirit, like the
Father, but he corrected them. He had flesh, he was, and is, a man,
like his brethren. He is seated at the right hand of the spirit, who
is the" Father of Spirits".
This is what the scripture hath said of him.
John 7:38
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly
shall flow rivers of living water.
Matthew 10:32-33
[32] Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I
confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
[33] But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny
before my Father which is in heaven.
When you say that the Messiah is God in the Flesh, you are denying
the man Yahawashi, son of YHWH, and he has promised to deny YOU
before his Father in Heaven.
1st Corinthians 8:5-6
[5] For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in
earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
[6] But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all
things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all
things, and we by him.
ONE GOD, THE FATHER!
All Praise is due to the Most High, and obedience unto the Son, as
unto the Father.
