Bad translation or purposed mistranslation ? ///

Psa 68:4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

According to this verse Jah rides in the heavens. However looking at the original language txt we get the following...

Psa 68.4, shiru l'elohim zamaru shemu salu l'rakub b'arabuth b'iah shemu v'alazu l'penau

Translation - Sing unto G-d, sing songs unto his name, lift up [him] that rides in the [many] wilderness in his name yah and be joyful before his face.

What caught my attn. is the translators seem to have replaced the word wilderness [arabah] with the english "heaven". Why is that ? Did they consider the wilderness an oasis ? Also Iah [jah] which is a partial spelling of the tetra-grammaton is said to ride [rekab] in this *wilderness* called heaven. Why is the tetra-grammaton partially spelt and what association does Jah have with the wilderness.

Actually the mistranlations abound. Because

Not only is irebot seemingly mistranslated as heavens but so is Jah. I noticed your presentation of the hebrew script is incomplete. Let's try again:

shiru L' Alhim Z'meru Shemu selu L' Rekeb B'Irebot Byh Shemu Wa'Ilezu L'Peniu

Now B'Irebot means deserts, steppe, wilderness which comes from the word Ireb means to set, to become evening, as the setting of the sun.

Personally I don't agree with the translators for translationg this scripture thusly.

And as for the word Jah it's not Jah at all in the scriptures its the word Byh Bet Yud Hey Which means to ask, oh that!; with leave, or if it please: - alas, O, Oh.
