I think JOb is an edomite and I will think so until someone proves me wrong. He is a man of Uz. One of edom's grandson's name is Uz even Chief Uz.
If JOb is a edomite, does that change anything? I mean from reading Genesis chapter 36 or 37 it appears that the edomites have their own scripture. I sure would love to read it. And since the edomites are part hebrew/egyptian and canaanite. They might not be as particular in their worship of IHaWaH and may have incorporated some other religious principles in their teachings. Is that why the book of Job contains a Satan and some other god concepts that may seem to be unique.
