Studying genesis there are some questions I can't ansaar in black and white because the information is not given. Like the how did the Cainites/Kenites survive the flood of N'akh.
I am thinking that N'akh wasn't the only one told to make an ark. Let alone the only one to survive the flood. The very fact that giants STILL roamed the earth and there are tribes and people that are not accounted for later on in scripture that are not within the geneology of N'akh tells me that.
The scriptures call N'akh a Preacher of Righteousness:
2Pe 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
Perhaps he made a convert or 2. I am sure those people he preached to them 120 years before the floods came took heed after water started to come down. Perhaps a Cainite/Kenite overheard the message and told his folks who prepared. What I have noticed is that the years are given in Adam's geneology. The year they conceived seed and the years that they died. But with the Cainites, it is not so. That makes it hard to follow how these lives overlapped.
IHaWaH made a convenant with Cain (the mark) and if anyone were to kill him, their would be a 7 time compensation avenged upon them. Would that include IHaWaH himself? Is that why he was spared? Perhaps in order to fullfill his end of the convenant IHaWaH had to preserve the Cainites at all costs. Ineed IHaWaH gave blueprints for an ark to N'akh, could he have not done the same to others? I would say so.
It took 40 days for the earth to flood. Christianity had me believing that on the 1st day the earth was flooded. Nah shawdy. On day one perhaps the water came up to the ankles or something. Heck 40 days is enough time to put some ish together, create a vessel. Desperation and survival is a catalyst and you'd be surprised how fast you can get ish done in that time. Besides the Cainites were Smiths.
And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain [was] Naamah.
They had quite a long time to perfect the art of Smithing Metals. Perhaps they prepared a vessel ahead of time when N'akh preached about it. Paranoia ran thru their family as we can see:
Gen 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, [that] every one that findeth me shall slay me.
and
Gen 4:23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
Gen 4:24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
These were obviously a people concerned with survival. Perhaps they prepared ahead of time and didn't want to mix with the rest of society for fear of being killed by them or Maybe they thought they could do a better job at building an ark than N'akh's version or maybe the flood was local and not global or there were some of those who at the last minute started building vessels when the floods got ankle deep. Which could also explain why there are very many flood stories all over the world.
