The two great lights are known in the first chapter of genesis as Ma'or. They are in essence twisting lights or spiraling shafts.
The greater light as it is called is to rule the day and the younger is to rule the night. The hebrew words for "great (gadol)" and "night (luwl)" mean "to twist" or "to spiral."
These beings (were) fashioned by a dual spiral (two twisting forces). The realm of the elder spiral warmth (is created). In the realm of the younger spiral is a twisting heap (of clay).---Genesis 1 v 16

Intresting Kah Sol and Moon.
The moon only reflects light when viewed from the earth. So does the earth, when viewed from the moon.
The greater and lesser lights are not the sun and the moon per say, although they are refered to as the two LIGHTS mentioned in religious dogma.
These lights, in my worldview, are spirals acting in their prescribed realms.

The sun is surrounded by a whirling spiral of red copper (band of the Aten), which gives it LIGHT and MOVEMENT. What idea gives the moon its light and movement? (for the moon produces no light of its own) both lunar and solar lights spiral unto earth. Just look at the particle reflections in any light stream and you will see the swirling .

Good to you BMZ... This serpent wisdom was called by the ancient pharoahs, Aten or Ater. The Aten was bisected into two great halves: Atent Meht, the lower half and Atent Shama, the upper half. These halves are associated with the bible's two great lights. The Babylonian word ANU is also written as Unu or Uru, Ra (Fire, great spirit). Ra was called Am Aten-f, which means "native in his aten." [/img]
