"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander"
I believe this scripture is about witnessing to others and the way to go about doing it. I am guilty of not exactly being gentle in my witnessing from time to time, but it is a work in progress. We should all strive to be more Christ-like in our dealings with other people. Reminds me of that popular saying that came out several years ago - WWJD - What Would Jesus Do?. That should be our approach to things - first consider what Jesus would do in a certain situation and then do our best to follow His example.

the best U can do is be a living example and people will automatically take notice and ask U what U are all about. then U share your beliefs with them.

So true. I think that is lost sometimes when we consider parents and children. They raise these kids that turn out to be heathens and wonder how it happened.. I believe that the environment plays a part - however the main influence is right there in the home.. I believe we should teach our kids how to be true children of the Lord not only verbally, but also by example. the best U can do is be a living example and people will automatically take notice and ask U what U are all about. then U share your beliefs with them.
