Decision came down today - forfeiture of land... Judge orders forfeiture of Nuwaubian property By Sharon E. Crawford Telegraph Staff Writer U.S. District Judge Ashley Royal issued an order Thursday allowing the government to seize $1.7 million in property tied to the United Nuwaubian Nation of Moors, including the sect's 476-acre compound in Putnam County. The decision comes just two weeks after Royal said he would hold out making a decision until he determines whether convicted child molester Malachi York, the group's lesader, would get a new trial. U.S. Attorney Maxwell Wood said Thursday it would now be up to the U.S. Marshal's Office to determine when they will clear out the Putnam County compound and a home in Athens. He declined to comment on why the judge would change his mind on ruling on the forfeiture. "We've said all along that Dwight (Malachi) York has always been in control of these properties," Wood said Wednesday. "This was just a ploy to create confusion ... which has become their usual tactic." Last year, federal prosecutors filed a civil lawsuit against York to seize the two pieces of property and more than $430,000 in cash seized at the time of York's arrest. Officials have said profits from the property will go to the law enforcement agencies that worked the case. Two groups of people - all claiming to be York supporters - came forward saying they were the actual owners of the property. I am in ATL if they auction that stuff off I would like the body of that dead Alien that they have We talked to sills a lonnng time ago about some stuff. First off, you can get that alien from, damn--there is this place and the name slipped my mind as soon as I can recall it I will. Don't know if they will auction the items themselves, or if it's just the land they are taking. Feds will probably allow Sills to hold a "Sherrif's auction". There are items I want for my future store

yall should not revel and joy over this. No matter what side you are on, children are living on that land and many may go homeless (i pray G-d that dont happen). This is a sad situation no matter how you slice and dice it.

This is a sad situation no matter how you slice and dice it. First off, people go homeless every day all over the world. It all falls back upon individual choices. They knew this was a possibility, and from my conversations with those involved on the prosecution side, they are not planning to roll up in there like that--they will give them ampel amount of time to move out. They ain't planning some curbisde eviction.

My first one was tough, but when you see people smoke, drink and squander thier rent money away, it can be trifling. Do you pay your shit on time? I bet you do...... There will be ample enough time with a notice. Now if people who are on the land do not adhere to that notice, it is on them.....

Kah, You cannot live rent free anyplace. I wonder how many squatters are on the land? I used to do evictions for the City of Newark. My first one was tough, but when you see people smoke, drink and squander thier rent money away, it can be trifling. Do you pay your shit on time? I bet you do...... There will be ample enough time with a notice. Now if people who are on the land do not adhere to that notice, it is on them..... I think I've grown numb personally. This year alone I have handled about 18 evictions. More than half of those were from section 8 recipients who only pay $50 or less out of their own pocket in rent. I send out late notices, help them make arrangements on the back rent, waive the late fee all to still end up having to evict them due to non-payment. Many times when I am online, I am also on MSWord filling out eviction forms or other problem forms. Here is a letter I sent out in March: Dear xxxxxxx, As tenant of the premises located at xxxxxxRoad, Columbus, OH 43213: YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED OF THE FINDINGS OF YOUR INSPECTION ON;________________ You must pay for the damage to the tile in your kitchen. This tile was NEW when you moved in, and the damage is well beyond normal wear and tear. You must pay for repair of front bedroom window. We take this time to remind you of Section 1 of your lease: “To maintain said premises in a clean, orderly, and law abiding manner…Management shall have the right to enter and inspect said premises at any and all reasonable times.”<br>Taking Section 1 into consideration it was noted that you have a housekeeping issue. We understand normal wear and tear and “lived-in” clutter, however we noted overflowed trash in unit, which contributes to the pest problem, dog feces on floor, clothes all over the floor of bedrooms and on steps. Although you stated your gas is not currently in service, it is still noted a fire hazard to have clothing up against your hot water heater. You have violated section 5 of your lease: “No birds, animals, or other pets shall be kept on the premises without the knowledge and written consent of management; …” We noted a dog in your apartment during inspection. You have 5 days to comply with the order to get rid of the dog. Our policy not only protects our property, but protects children and neighbors. You have violated section 3 of your lease: “To pay for all utility service furnished to the property.” We have noted you reason for gas disconnection but we are now ordering you to comply with section 3. It is a fire hazard to have your oven operating at such a high level for a continuous amount of time. There are numerous private and government agencies which help income qualifying individuals with gas during the winter months. We request you take advantage of these opportunities and get gas turned back on in your unit. You have 10 days to comply. Thank you for your gracious assistance in this matter. Sincerely, Shanda Hodge Manager

come on Satiyah, you of all peeps should know how the nuwaubian community had severed much ties wit the "mainland" society. Even from their families that are "of the world" were cut off. How do you expect them to just acclimate back into society ? This is a very delicate situation they're in. I feel for them. First off, people go homeless every day all over the world. However, their life is the product of choices they made. Many of those who are living on the land now only "recently" joined--by that I mean within the last 5-6 years. Ask around, you'll see--they are known as "newbies". Only a small amount are those who have been in for 15 or more years. People sever ties with their families for many reasons--it's no excuse to not move on and reaccess your life.

Hey Sati, I remember one time this place had many, many roaches. I learned that you do not stpe on them, cause you can bring the eggs home . Well we had to have the exterminator bomb the place. When I finally came in to inspect the work, I hear something hit the bill of my baseball cap. I looked up there were roaches on the ceiling and they were falling from the ceiling like damn paratroopers..
