Woman Claims Mayor Is Her Child's Father Jack Ellis A Superior Court hearing is scheduled next month on a Houston County woman's claim that Macon Mayor C. Jack Ellis fathered her child. In a civil suit filed in Bibb County Superior Court, Mireille Severe says she had a romantic relationship with Ellis from May 2001 until February 2002. As a result, Severe says she gave birth to a boy on June 27, 2002. Severe says she and the child are willing to undergo DNA paternity testing. She asks the court to declare Ellis the father of the child, and to order child support. A hearing on the matter has been scheduled for June 25. In a separate filing, Severe asks that Ellis produce various financial statements, including income tax returns, bank checking and saving account records, stock and bond certificates, and property records. Ellis is out of the country and couldn't be reached for comment, but Regina McDuffie, his interim Chief Administrative Officer, said she would contact the Mayor, who would contact 13WMAZ if he wants to comment. Civil suits such as this one can be filed by anyone, against anyone. They don't require evidence prior to a court hearing.
