Question: I have never seen in any records that he was a Moor/or part of the Moorish Science Temple of America. Do you have any proof of this Bro.

Islamism Brotherman! I was given this info by family members from Chicago! It was told to me that Larry Hoover proclaimed his nationality inside the prison system, after having some type of "dealings" with some brothers who were representing Chief Imam Kaaba (Jeff Fort) Stone Nation/ElRukn! I took the info to heart as my cousin was just coming home from the justice in Cook County! Peace and Love Brother! Denham-El Peace-Brotherman. Well Goodbrother, I can't see that Larry Hoover who rode for the "6" has claimed Islam under the Moorish Science Temple. And is this Brother still Alive.

Peace! You are correct Allah! Folks ride "6" all day long! But King Hoover has been locked up for many, many years now! oh yes, i first heard of Larry Hoover when i purchased a Ghetto Boys cd back around 1996 or 1997, entitled Resurrection. They had Hoover on there between songs giving dialogue and the brother impressed me with his growth on the real. He was speaking of how the government was being contradictive by saying that blacks are thugs, but with the power Hoover has, they were upset because he was telling the gangs to put the guns down and vote. I definitely would believe any hearsay about him converting to islam, moors,etc.

I live in the Chicago area and when there was a Chicago tab (Ansaarullah) here there was folks (GDs) and el-rukn coming to class, both claiming al-Islam. The GD was raised Muslim and joined the Ansaars because of the six-pointed star. The El Rukn joined to get his act together cause the El Rukn brothers he knew werent ready to be reformed like he was. He spent sum time in jail. I had also heard that Larry Hoover was studying Islam and Moorish Science. The 6 pointed star was adopted because one of their founders called himself King David. Anyone more familiar with GDs can back me upon this or correct me.

I have a small pamphlet put out by this church in Chicago called CRUSADERS MINISTRIES. It has a very similiar crown on the back cover. I'll have to look for it. Could this church have borrowed their symbol from the GDs like you said Dr. York did? It came out around 97.

Islam,
I was taught by and Elder within the Moorish Movement, that both of these gangs came out of the Moorish Situation in Chicago when the Temple became divided in the Leadership. After 1933 the Streets of Chicago were divided up which in later years they came out with the armies on the street today known as the Gangs. One faction was given control over the SouthSide of Chicago One the North and the Other the West side. This was done as a means to stop the bloodshed that was going on due to the schism that had set in. This elder who told us these things was second in command behind Jeff Fort. It is warfare between Brothers, just as is going on over in the area of Palestine, between the 6 points and the 5 points, Israel and Ishmael. And for a long time in Chicago the fighting was just as fierce if not more then what is going on in Palestine. Some of what I said could be off a few degrees, anyone having filler, feel free.
