A companion of Nuwaubian leader Malachi York is due in court Tuesday.
U.S. District Attorney Fred Bright says Kathy Johnson is charged with one count of aggravated child molestation and ten counts of child molestation.
The case couldn't move forward until the court of appeals returned paperwork from an earlier unsuccessful motion.
The paperwork arrived last week. Meanwhile, today is the final day for people who believe they have claims to land in Putnam County to notify the court.
The 444 acre compound on Shady Dale Road in Putnam County is where convicted child molester York lived.
Earlier this year a jury decided the government will seize the land because it was used during the commission of crimes.
The DA's office is also seizing York's land in the Mansfield subdivision in Athens.
Pete Peterson with the U.S. Attorney's Office says they usually wait a few days to see if any more claims come in by mail.
After Monday a judge will hold hearings to decide if any of those claims are legitimate. Land that goes unclaimed will become property of the U.S. Treasury.
Ever since Dr York came out with that book REBUTTAL to the SLANDERERS, Nuwaubians have been using that word a lot. So much to the point where they use the word WAY out of Context.
