I was a liutenent in jersey city(#21) around that same time as Ralph (we probably know each other) james shabazz was the minister(son of thunder) he got shot the shit up and his bulshit sons took over(nepotism) I raised hell over not being able to become a minister(wannabe in da spotlight syndrone) eveually i went back ta drugs(real drugs not religion/spirituallity) JAZZYGRIOT, I HEARD THE SON OF THUNDER WAS A MORE PRODUCTIVE MINISTER THAN FARRAKHAN, AND WAS A POTENTIAL SUCCESSOR TO THE MESSENGER'S THRONE. SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE FARRAKHAN HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH HIS DEATH. HAVE U HEARD ABOUT THAT? |

Nope, it was not Farrakhan..... Adham, I stated that it was not Farrkhan, maybe Jazzy can help me buy correcting anything that I have not remembered. There is also a relative of Minister James 3X on this board. I hope that I am not disrespecting him nor his family with my recollection of events that happened before some on this board were still toddlers. During 1973, it was tense times in Newark. There was a buzz that a former member of the NOI started an organization in the 60s called "The New World Nation of Islam". As I recall it, the guy who started it went by the name of Ali Hassan. Minister James 3X did not believe that the NWI had authority over the NOI. Problems happened in Temple 25 and 25B. The followers of the NWI tired to influence members who followed Minister James 3X. Security was tight as hell and it was a sad place to go and hear the message and have bickering going on. Well a guy by the name of Marcello(I forgot his first name) a member of the NWI assassinated minister James 3X. Well the police kind of drug their feet in the investigation and a few weeks later the bodies of the guy Marcello and another were found beheaded in the park down the street from me. since that time, I have tried to pick up any pieces from that time. I was 13 in 72 and hearing all of what was going on can scare ya! If anyone on this board can contribute to the gaps in the story, I will greatly appreciate it. Jazzy, you may have some info to contribute due to you being a little older and in the mix more so than me. Adham, hope I answered your question..... |
