I had this big long post packed with bible scripts. My thesis was based on what was biblically considered fornication & adultery. How brothers now adays (unrighteous of course) like to use the scripture to support there highly irresponsible sexual behaviors and poor organization of priorities. But 1dell's computer though it seems to move faster now adays is notorious for an error message that will freeze and close your but up. Without a warning. So now I will ask the questions I answered and cut and paste someone elses ides's lol.


Being that Adultery can only be commited by a man who sleeps with anothers wife or a divorced woman, put away by her husband. (being that woman were divorced only for fornication on their husband)
Even though the bible seems to state unmarried sex is fornication, men were permitted ( the following loop holes) multiple wives, to be fruitful & fill the earth, also not to spill their seeds on the ground. Yet a woman would be considered a whore in a hot second.
But of course there is universal law the ethical threads that help weave these laws. Cause & effect, what goes around comes around, your concious. I guess that is what seperates the brothers & sisters who can't hold up their current home seeking new additions using the bible to promote it from the the ones who use the law to properly govern their lives.

What is the difference between fornication and adultery?

A. Fornication is the illicit sexual intercourse of unmarried persons.

1 Corinthians 6:9, 18

B. To commit adultery is to have sexual relations with someone other
than one's own spouse (husband or wife).

Jeremiah 29:23; 5:7-8
Proverbs 6:29, 32; etc.

The Bible is not silent on the subject of premarital relations.

A. Sexual intercourse is to be confined to marriage.

Genesis 34:1-7, 31

B. Marriage is God's provision for the release of sexual desire.

1 Corinthians 7:2

C. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
If a couple cannot restrain themselves, Paul said that they should go ahead and marry (1 Corinthians 7:9, 36-37).


Fornication and adultery are absolutely forbidden by God.

Anyway my question is mainly what is fornication to you?
What is it biblically?
Some people think if they meet someone and want to have a commitment with them and have sex under those pretenses they are not fornicating.

What is marriage biblically?
What is marriage to you?
In some cultures you have sex and wear the family colors and the family and friends respected youe marriage, you bore kids ect.
The bible and other religions require witnesses, elders, contracts ect.
The old testament sealed covenants with blood
(not enough virgins around for that)
Those who believe that sex is an eternal covenant itself, the bibleand other philosophies speak of a oneness through sexual intercourse like tantra.

Divorce, what is it biblically?
when is it permitted?
Is there a such thing as spiritual divorce?

Ethics 101 from Proverds 6th chapter

Pro 6:23 For the commandment [is] a lamp; and the law [is] light; and reproofs of instruction [are] the way of life:
Pro 6:24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.


Pro 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.


Pro 6:26 For by means of a whorish woman to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.


Pro 6:27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?


Pro 6:28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?


Pro 6:29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.


Pro 6:30 [Men] do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

Pro 6:32 [But] whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he [that] doeth it destroyeth his own soul.


Pro 6:33 A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.


Pro 6:34 For jealousy [is] the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

Okay first off, I aint dealing with Paul's word cause they placate to gentiles. Gentiles by no means adhere to true universal principles and laws. They compromise divine law. As such I go skrate to the gusto - the law of Moshe.

What is Fornication ? The word is Zanah and the contxt it is used in OT is that of committing religious adultery ie, going after g-ds of heathen nations. However sex can also be involved in fornication. Hebrews considered illicit sex acts as ways of worshipin heathen g-ds. Sodomy and the others were all forms of fornication. In other words, you and your mate though legally married, if you engaged in illicit sex acts it is considered fornication.

What is marriage ? According to OT, the act of sex consumates marriage. You have betrothal [engagement] prior to marriage which is courtship. This is where there is talk and writing of letters to one another, etc... . Strictly platonic. All women do not necessarily go thru betrothal. If a woman is caught frolicking in the fields then its implied she wants to be taken and any men who happens to fall upon her in the way can "force himself" on her, providing she isnt betrothed or wedded [in both cases of betrothal and wedded a woman like that has no business to be taking short cuts thru the fields]

What is adultery ? Adultery is different for men and women. In the male case, he can be charged with adultery if he has sex with the wife of another man. If the woman is not wedded then he is free to have sex with her [it is implied in the act of sex signifies marriage] and as many women as he can monetarily support. Emotional support was not considered a requisite for qualifying to have one or more wives.

A woman commits adultery when she has sex with more then one man. It doesnt matter if the male is married or not. Once she has sex with a man, he is lawfully her husband. She can no longer engage in sex with any other male unless he gives her a "bill of divorce". In which case she is permitted one more chance at sexual relations. If the second husband (second man she has sex with) casts her out she is considered a DEFILE DAUGHTER OF ISRAEL; she is profaned and can no longer re-marry. [This does not apply to women who marry the brother(s) of her deceased husband. Assuming he did not leave an heir to his name, she is allowed to marry , re-marry, etc... any of the deceased husband's brothers until she brings forth a seed in his name by one of them).

In the OT days a woman had NO POWER over her body. She was under the power of her father or her husband. When Paul came on the scene he dealt wit a pagan world that RAISED UP THE IMAGE OF THE FEMININ. There was G-DDESS worship during his era; the matriarchy was rampant amongst the gentiles. After his so-called "conversion", as a tactical fisher of men, he compromised alot of the hebreac teachings to win many of the gentiles into PSEUDO HEBREW culture and worship.

What is divorce ? According to law of Moshe when a husband found some uncleanliness in a wife he had every right to divorce her. A woman on the other hand could not initiate a divorce. However , her father could argue on her behalf before the elders to force the husband to either get his act skrate or force him to sign divorce papers. But never could a wife initiate divorce of her own accord.


Spiritual divorce - Well all I can say on that is what was edged in stone or signed in ink was considered lawful in the spiritual realms by the G-d of the hebrews of the OT. In other words there has to be a confirmation in the physical sense in order for it to occur spiritually. It works in twos [pairs]. If you want confirmation in the spiritual reality then it must be paralleled in the physical reality. What you enact as lawful in the physical automactically writes itself unto the spiritual.


Ya know what a woman can learn from this , that she is better off following the g-d of the gentiles of the NT , the one paul introduces to the world. A woman has more rights in the doctrine of Paul then the doctrine of Moshe and OT.

If your father ain't around to fend for you and your husband ain't worth shizzle. Then follow the laws of the land or claim Gentile lol.
Wasn't there an OT law that stated when in captive you should obey the laws of the captor? I don't remember it.
Its hard to follow Torah in captivity. Is a woman better off the property of her dad & husband where she won't defile herself lol (now adays your husbands and fathers defile the daughters of God.)
Also you say Goddess worship occured after Paul, that is interesting, I thought the Egyptians,Babylonians just to state a few had Goddess Worship before Abraham was though about, Hebrew WHO? lol
he prophets spoke about Ishtar before Paul was on the scene she was Inanna or Innina prior to that.

U mis-read what I posted. I didnt say g-ddess worship came after paul. I said the worship was prevelant during his time. He was dealin with a world that was immersed in the worship of the femi9 principle. And this worship of the heathen goes way back to ot times with the worship of ASHTEROTH [ishtar, Innana, Isis, Diana, Semiramis, Mary, Easter, etc... queen of heaven].

Regarding obeying the laws of the land, the bible is clear. The laws of the gentile lands you obey while in captivity are civil and penal laws. It doesnt mean to obey "customs" that make you break hebreac laws. The ex. of that is Daniel who refused to eat the unclean meats of the king of babel [or was it persia. My memory eludes me].

Its PSEUDO HEBREW or compromised hebrew religion. Thats what Paul was teaching the gentile world.

Adultery in anybody's culture just aint cool. However we live in a 21st century world and a secular culture. If we were living under Moses' law a lot of us wouldve been stoned to death already. I include myself in that. I slept with somebody's wife before when I was in the service but I didnt find out til' after the fact. If a woman is creepin around cause her man aint treatin her right whose fault is it?

I do believe in marriage but I feel the marriage ceremony is only an outward public showing of the couples commitment to one another and the future children theyll have. In my opinion the actual marriage ceremony is optional. If U stay with someone long enough it becomes common-law anyway.
