Man brothers use this as slang now days. "Ole girl got the spirit of Jezebel in her" or "Thats that Jezebel spirit" Most of the time they are talking about a sista they can't get along with, a defiant sista, one who they can't seem to put in their place, or just rebellious and evil or a woman who won't give a man what they want or refuses to submit and the list goes on.
How accurate is this though? Lets take a look:
This saying "The spirit of Jezebel" comes from the book of Revelation where Ishua is recorded to have been speaking against the church at Thytira. Here is what is written:
Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Rev 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Rev 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Rev 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
Rev 2:25 But that which ye have [already] hold fast till I come.
Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Rev 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Rev 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.
My question is, did Jezebel Resurrect and she infiltrated the church somehow and was now teaching in the office of a false prophetess? Hardly not I'm sure. More than possibly the reincarnation of the Jezebel attitude within the women in the church. The reason I say women is because had this been male teacher with this attitude there would be too many other men this attitude could be named with instead of Jezebel.
Lets get the easy stuff out of the way:
Ayz'bel is her name in hebrew the lexicon gives this definition: "Baal exalts" or "Baal is husband to" or "unchaste" But Ay means not and Z'bel means exalted. If this was an english word it would be unexalted. The antonyms of Exalted would be: abject, belittled, condemned, criticized, debased, humiliated, put down, ridiculed. Anyone of these could be the translation of her name in english.
Let's take it back now.

Wow! Sheds all kinds of new light on that! There are FAR too many Churches and hebraic organizations allow these Condamned/ridiculed/debase women to speak and teach to the organizations pouring poison in the ears of their assemblies.
For too long we have thought that the Ayz'bel spirit or calling a woman Ayz'bel meant that she was a seductress in the assembly or that she was wearing make and wearing revealing clothing and sleeping with other people's husbands and thangs. That could be part of it but it's not ALL of it. And because the guards at the doors have been looking for a certain type of woman the other aspects of this attitude have made their way to the podium and is teaching false doctrine.
There is danger in giving the floor to a debased woman. Here are some definitions of debase: To lower in character, quality, or value; degrade. Here is a synonym: Adulterate. None of us have to use too much imagination to figure out what would come out of a Debased/Low Character woman's mouth: Heck we don't have to go far Let's look at Ayz'bel's doctrine and take it from there:

Her doctrine is compared to knowing/exploring the Depths of Shatan.

Now there are 2 types of whoredoms one must consider when dealing with scripture. One is performed with humans, the other is performed with Gods. The worshipping and serving (the religious rites and practices) of other deities is considered whoredoms in scripture. I am more inclined to believe that the latter is what is being spoken of here. Especially seeing how she teaches the congregation to eat food offered to idols.

Wow how merciful. Punishment will come to them UNTIL they repent of their deeds. Maannn!! who am I trying to kid? If a woman cheated on me, eternity would not be long enough for her punishment! But Ishua must not be an aries after all.
She has been practicing whoredoms at her will, but when she is cast into a bed, her whoredoms will become forces and involuntery. She will overwhelmed with performing what she once did for fun. It will no longer be a leisure to her. Causing her to repent of it. Sorta like when the Ysra'aliym asked for flesh to eat and they were given so much quail in the wilderness that it was coming out of their ears.

I will come again with moor in Ayz'bel. This was just to challenge the idea of the Ayz'bel spirit being those sistas who defy a man and rebels against his authority. I have often found that when an audit is performed on the man they call "head" or the man they have supposed to submit themselves too, it is easy to see why they rebel against them. It is easy to see why he is defied. I was once like that. Called my ex-wife a disciple of Jezebel. But when I did a check up from the neck up. I real eyed I had all the control in the world in that situation. It was the inconsistencies and incongruencies in my leadership and fathering. Now granted some women get a lil overzealous in their defiance and sometimes their "justice" is disproportionate to the crime. They do get a lil carried away. But when the root of the tree is discovered, most times we find that the MAN could have corrected the problem with his own behavior
