Shalom Alaykum
The inventor of Hebrew script was THOTH, whose name in the Metu Neter is Heb Ra (messenger of Ra). This appellation became the Semetic word for "crossing (as in script that requires one to criss cross lines and symbols with the finger)"---Ibree.
In english, the appellation Heb Ra (ibree) became the Hebrew word HEBREW.

Come on Nar, now you steppin on my toes bru. Which one is it? Is york teaching this now? because a few years back it was because Abraham was called a Hebrew because he was the descendant of Eber. Then the year after that....nevermind Shalom Alaykum The inventor of Hebrew script was THOTH, whose name in the Metu Neter is Heb Ra (messenger of Ra). Shalom Alaykum 1dell, It is no coincidence that THOTH, Tehuti, whose name is also HEBRA resonates with the word HEBREW. As you know, Tehuti was the GOD who introduces the art and style of writing (metu neter) to the ancient Kemi. In ancient Sumer (the west), Tehuti is called Nabu. There in Sumer, Nabu introduced the art and style of writing (cuneiform) to the Sumerians. The ancient and sacred writings were originally called NUWAUBIC (nabu, hebra (hebrew)). I know you mean no harm Wondell...But you have to remember that when surfing the internet for some scholarship, the search engine at question is very case "sensative." Try typing in Heb Ra (thoth) and see what you come up with. No disrespect Nar, but coincidence doesn't replace factual scholarship bro.
