I had come across that verse a whiles back and had to wrestle with how to reason this out with all the other verses that supposedely contradict it. This is what I came up with... The verse, though in sequence in the chp. is actually speaking of pre-messianic period. Micah starts off by jumping into the future but then when he reaches the 5th verse he jumps into another period in humanity. There are quite a few chapters in the bible constructed this way. Micah 4.5 is about the era or aeon of the GENTILES. If you cont. reading the chp., into the 11 vrs. you will see this. Peace. Micah 4:3-5 "And he shall judge between many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles nation shall not lift up sword against nation neither shall htey learn war anymore but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree and there shall be none to harm them for the mouth of IHaVaH Tz'Baot has spoken it for all people will walk every one in the name of his god and we will walk in the name of IHaVaH our El'hiym for ever and ever" Wow! are my eyes seeing correctly? That changes everything

1dell i was driving today and while I was driving I get sorta revelations (weird timing!). ANyhow what came to me was that script. you were talkin bout in Micah, has to do with the same TREES in the garden eden.
God had not only allowed Adam eat from the tree of life, but the regular trees. These are the figtrees of the goiym in micah that they would sit under and worship their own god.
Also trees are gods. Remember Eloh also means OAK tree :-).
I will add more to this but I think you get where I am goin with this.
peace.

Aight lets start from fresh...
Micah 4.4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.
In the above verse, its alluding to the trees of the garden...
Genesis 2.9, And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Now to deal with the final verse...
Micah 4.5, For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.
The above verse allows the worship and gods of the goyim nations. You can see reference to this in the genesis eden tale. Look at this ....
Genesis 2.16, And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:.
See how God allows the eating of these other "trees" ? You may be askin how did I connect the trees to gods that we find in Micah - the ones where he said the Lord God would accept the worshippin of these other gods by the nations. Well peep this. One of the gods is called ELOH. How neat and convenient that same word happens to have the meaning OAK TREE - ELAH.
now to bring this all in full circle...
The trees that every man shall sit under and worship their own gods are the trees in the garden Elohiym had planted (Remember how Sarah hid idols/gods under trees ?). Micah is a prophecy of re-establishing the EDENIC government that permitted the religions of the nations. And we know each nation had a national god protector. Each tree in eden was a guardian over a nation.
peace.

Ok Kah. So logically what you are saying is that All the trees in the garden of Eden were really Deities that Adam was allowed to worship at will. But these Deities were Gods that were to govern a nation. With some Qabalistic input lets say there were 70 trees since there were 70 angels that govern a nation a piece. YET there were 72 trees, because there was a Tree of Life in the Middle of the garden and then the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the middle of the Garden. One was forbidden and one held the secrets of Immortality.
Ok I am with you so far.
But the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was a cloning tree of sorts because it was a god-producing tree, perhaps the Mother of all the other trees and since Man and woMan ate from the tree they too became like that tree. Ok I just lost myself.
Tell you what bro. Give me this back again but in leiu of these scripts:
Pro 3:18 She [is] a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy [is every one] that retaineth her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pro 11:30 The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pro 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but [when] the desire cometh, [it is] a tree of life.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pro 15:4 A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life: but perverseness therein [is] a breach in the spirit.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rev 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Preciate it

you've pretty much said everything needed to be said. Yes there were 72 trees corresponding to the 70 + 2 national guardians. I say 70 PLUS TWO because the xtra two are the guardians of ISRAEL [michael] and her arch nemesis IDUMEA [samael]. You will find this hidden in the hierarchy of Israel during the period of the wilderness sojourn. There were 70 elders, plus moshe and his cushite wife (this couple rep. Michael) and Aaron and his sister/wife (this couple rep. samael) which makes 72.
The verses you posted illustrate the need for israel to seek the best tree of all trees; the giver of eternal life.
I dunno if Ive said this here or on another board but Adam and Eve did not distinguish between the two trees that were right smack in the center of the garden. I like the way you described one of them - CLONE. The serpent capitalized on this and managed to get Eve to pick the wrong one.
Anyhow, thats about it for now.
